Best Console to Play Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSoft. It is the direct sequel to the original Guild Wars games which came out in April 2005.

The new installment, which was released in August 2012, received widespread acclaim. Guild Wars 2 sold more than 2 million copies worldwide just 2 weeks after its release, making it one of the best games of the year.

What sets Guild Wars 2 apart is that it features a storyline that is responsive to player actions - something that is rarely seen in multiplayer role-playing games. Another reason why gamers love it so much is that it doesn't require any subscription fees so anyone can play it online for as long as they like.

This is the reason why this game is a perfect MMORPG to play on gaming consoles - many gamers say that the game is meant to be played with a controller.

ArenaNet has recently expressed interest in releasing a console version for Guild Wars 2. Back in 2007, NCSoft signed a deal with to release games exclusive to its platforms; particularly on Play Station 3 and PSP.

Nobody knows if the console version will be a Sony exclusive, but plenty of players would agree that it would be a perfect fit.

Those who have tried to play the game using a controller have proclaimed that it worked like a charm. The PS3 DualShock controller is said to work perfectly with Guild Wars 2.

I played the game myself using my PS3 console and the new Dualshock controller and I have to tell you, it is an absolute pleasure.

With a controller, one would be able to use the L1 and R1 controls to swap the functions of the face buttons and the D-pad, allowing easy access to your character's skills, camera control, free movement and other targeting options.

No longer do you have to be hunched in front of your laptop or develop a carpal tunnel on your right wrist playing Guild Wars 2 for hours on end - playing it with a PS3 controller will give you a whole new gaming experience and you'll fall in love with it even more (if that's possible).

So now we'll just have to wait for the console version of the game which hopefully will come out any time soon since NCSoft has confirmed its release.

Gamers are hoping it a PS3 version will be released, but for the love of Guild Wars 2, fans are willing to play it on any console or platform.

Until then, you cna always play it on your PC, if you have enough graphic power and a configuration that can satisfy the game's requirements
